Collection: War & Propaganda

Posters made to persuade, recruit, conscript, and rally. The graphic design of conviction, produced in their thousands and pasted up on hoardings, factory walls, and recruitment offices from London to Moscow to Beijing. Most originals are long gone. The few that survive sit in museums or sell at auction for thousands. We're the next best thing.

The collection spans four eras: First and Second World War recruitment and home-front posters from Britain and America; Soviet propaganda from the 1920s through the Cold War; and Chinese propaganda art under Mao. These aren't decorative posters. They were designed to change what a country thought, or how it behaved. The fact that many are also well designed is incidental to the people who made them, but it's why they endure.

Available in seven sizes, A4 through A0.
