A man in a cobalt-blue slashed doublet leans out of the dark, holding a bottle and a white jug. Leonetto Cappiello (1875 to 1942) designed the lithograph in 1911 for Galland Reveu, a curaçao producer based in Vienne, in the Isère department of southeastern France. Cappiello's contract with the Paris printer Vercasson dated from 1900.

A figure in Renaissance costume leans forward in a cobalt-blue slashed doublet with puffed sleeves and white cuff ruffs, holding out a bottle of Curaçao Galland and a white ceramic jug. His fleshy, caricatured face stands against a background that grades from deep mahogany to near-black. The yellow headline "CURACAO GALLAND" spans the sheet. Below it are "de VIENNE / ISERE", "MAISON FONDEE EN 1821" (house founded in 1821) and "HORS CONCOURS / PARIS 1900" (out of competition, Paris 1900)

Each poster is printed to order using professional giclée printing techniques and archival pigment inks on 200gsm enhanced matte fine art paper.
