A red-haired woman lifts a coupe glass of pale grape juice above a field of cascading golden and purple grape clusters. Her figure, draped in golden grapes at the torso, emerges from a composition of broad pale-green vine leaves flanked by cobalt-blue foliage, the whole set against a solid black ground. The brand name UVACURE is set in bold gold slab-serif capitals at the top; 'jus vitaminé de raisins' in flowing red cursive beneath it. The palette, black, gold, cobalt, green, indigo purple, is dense and saturated, built for impact at large lithograph scale.
Designed by Robys (Robert Wolff, circa 1916–1995) in 1938 and printed by Affiches Stentor of Paris, this poster promoted Uvacure, a French vitaminised grape juice aimed at health-conscious consumers during the late interwar period. Robys worked within the Cappiello tradition of isolated figures against black backgrounds, applying it to French food and drink brands throughout the 1930s and 1940s. His other noted works include the 1937 Kina Lillet lithograph and the 1950 Les Vins Sélectionnés Union poster, both produced through Affiches Stentor.
Reproduced as an archival print on 200gsm Enhanced Matte Fine Art Paper, restoring the deep black ground and the full tonal range of the original 1938 lithograph. The scale and colour weight of the design make it a considered choice for a kitchen, dining room, or bar setting where French interwar commercial art is of interest.
