A green parrot tips a bottle of brandy toward a Pierrot's open mouth. Joseph Stall (1874 to 1933) designed the poster in 1925.

On the poster

A Pierrot in flowing red, white-gloved and white-faced, leans back in an acrobatic arc with a wooden tennis racquet trailing behind. Directly above, a large green parrot swoops across the black-ground, clutching an amber bottle of Sauvion's Brandy and tipping it toward his open mouth. The composition is built on three stark colour contrasts against the black: cadmium red, parrot green and amber gold. Bold serif lettering in amber yellow runs across the base.

The result? All the charm of the original, without having to live with its unfortunate accidents.

Paper and print details

Good art deserves good paper.

Each poster is printed to order using professional giclée printing techniques and archival pigment inks on 200gsm enhanced matte fine art paper.

The natural white, smooth matte finish reduces glare while bringing out rich colours and crisp detail. The inks are designed for excellent lightfastness, helping the artwork retain its colour for years to come.
