Five mermaids wheel around an oversized glass of lemonade, and one of them is diving into it head-first. Philippe Henri Noyer (1917 to 1985) designed the lithograph, dated 1938.

The poster is signed "Ph. H. Noyer 38" and was printed by Joël Bellon, Paris.

On the poster

Five mermaids with cobalt-blue tails circle a tilted glass, bubbles rising across a golden-yellow and brushstroke-blue ground. One dives head-first into the glass, two clasp hands below it and two spiral at the edges. "BRAULT" runs across the lower third in bold white condensed type, "PUR SUCRE PUR FRUIT" (pure sugar, pure fruit) anchors the base, and "AU GAZ NATUREL DES SOURCES" (with the natural gas of the springs) arcs across the top in navy capitals.

Paper and print details

Each poster is printed to order using professional giclée printing techniques and archival pigment inks on 200gsm enhanced matte fine art paper.

The natural white, smooth matte finish reduces glare while bringing out rich colours and crisp detail. The inks are designed for excellent lightfastness, helping the artwork retain its colour for years to come.
