She is mid-whirl in blush-pink gauze, and the title blazes next to her in golden 3D letters.

Jean de Paleologu (1855 to 1942), the Romanian-born illustrator who signed his work Pal, lithographed the poster. It advertised the premiere of Les Fétards at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal on 28 October 1897. The credits name the operetta's librettists, Antony Mars and Maurice Hennequin, and its composer, Victor Roger.

On the poster

A dancer in blush-pink gauze leaps across a blue-grey atmospheric wash, arms raised. The golden-yellow title "LES FÉTARDS" blazes beside her in bold 3D lettering. Decorative black capitals across the top read "THÉATRE DU PALAIS ROYAL", and credits in red and blue name the librettists and the composer.
