Passengers step from launches onto a silver flying boat sitting on tropical water. Mark Severin (1906 to 1987) designed the poster for Imperial Airways in 1936, to promote the new Empire flying boat service. The aircraft is a Short S23 with two-deck accommodation.

Severin was a Belgian-born poster artist active in Britain.

Each poster is printed to order using professional giclée printing techniques and archival pigment inks on 200gsm enhanced matte fine art paper.

The natural white, smooth matte finish reduces glare while bringing out rich colours and crisp detail. The inks are designed for excellent lightfastness, helping the artwork retain its colour for years to come.
