Each petal of a white flower holds a European in traditional costume: a German woman with a beer stein, a Spanish bullfighter, a Swiss maiden, a Tyrolean gentleman. Hervé Morvan (1917 to 1980) designed the poster for Air France in 1956. It promoted the airline’s European routes.

On the poster

The flower is white and stylised, and it blooms across a golden background. Each figure stands for a destination the airline served.

Each print begins with historic artwork, carefully restored using the latest digital tools and restoration techniques. Damage is addressed, colours refined and details recovered, while respecting the original composition, lettering and character.

The result? All the charm of the original, without having to live with its unfortunate accidents.

Paper and print details

Good art deserves good paper.

Each poster is printed to order using professional giclée printing techniques and archival pigment inks on 200gsm enhanced matte fine art paper.

The natural white, smooth matte finish reduces glare while bringing out rich colours and crisp detail. The inks are designed for excellent lightfastness, helping the artwork retain its colour for years to come.
