A white stylised flower blooms across a golden background, each petal containing a European figure in traditional costume. Germanic woman with beer stein, Spanish bullfighter in regalia, Swiss maiden, Tyrolean gentleman - each representing the destinations Air France served across Europe.

Commissioned by Air France in 1956, this poster promoted the airline's European routes during the golden age of commercial aviation. Hervé Morvan (1917-1980) was a master of playful commercial art, known for his whimsical characters and bold colour palettes. His approach combined mid-century optimism with sophisticated illustration technique.

The poster depicts the moment when air travel became accessible to the middle class, transforming Europe from distant territories into weekend destinations. Morvan's flower metaphor suggests the blossoming of international travel and cultural exchange.

Archival print restored from 1956 source, reproduced on 200gsm Enhanced Matte Fine Art Paper.
