André Galland (1886 to 1965) designed the poster for a Fête Fédérale of the gymnastics societies of south-east France, held on 20, 21 and 22 July 1928.

Imprimerie Coqueugniot of Romans-sur-Isère printed it.

On the poster

A male gymnast in a white leotard holds a one arm handstand on the parallel bars, one arm extended, against a flat field of deep vermilion red. Behind him a large circular vignette in slate blue-grey and cream shows the river-valley skyline of Romans-sur-Isère, with a bridge arch and a church tower. Bold condensed black type across the lower half gives the event dates and venue.
