Henry Fournier1925

There is a white sun where the chef's belly should be. Henry Fournier (1898 to 1950) designed the poster in 1925 for Conserves Le Soleil of Malines. Fournier contributed illustrations to La Vie Parisienne and Le Sourire.

A beaming, round chef holds an armful of Le Soleil preserves, drawn in warm yellows on a stark black background. A brilliant white sun glows from his belly. Hand-lettered serif capitals read "Conserves Le Soleil Malines".

Paper and print details

Good art deserves good paper.

Each poster is printed to order using professional giclée printing techniques and archival pigment inks on 200gsm enhanced matte fine art paper.

The natural white, smooth matte finish reduces glare while bringing out rich colours and crisp detail. The inks are designed for excellent lightfastness, helping the artwork retain its colour for years to come.
