She has a woman's face, a bird's body and a bottle held up like a trophy. Paul Mohr designed the poster, and Affiches EDIA printed it at 44 Rue Letellier, Paris, in September 1922. Cherry Rocher was founded in 1705 by Barthélémy Rocher in La Côte-Saint-André.

On the poster

A golden bird with a woman's face perches on a cherry-laden branch, one wing raised to hold a bottle of Cherry Rocher Liqueur aloft against a solid black ground. Deep blue-green foliage extends on either side, and clusters of glossy red cherries hang from the boughs. Sage-green hand-lettered type fills the lower half: "Cherry Rocher LIQUEUR".

Each print begins with historic artwork, carefully restored using the latest digital tools and restoration techniques. Damage is addressed, colours refined and details recovered, while respecting the original composition, lettering and character.

The result? All the charm of the original, without having to live with its unfortunate accidents.

Paper and print details

Good art deserves good paper.

Each poster is printed to order using professional giclée printing techniques and archival pigment inks on 200gsm enhanced matte fine art paper.

The natural white, smooth matte finish reduces glare while bringing out rich colours and crisp detail. The inks are designed for excellent lightfastness, helping the artwork retain its colour for years to come.
