A stylized tomato tree rises from a Boschi Luigi conserve can, its orange trunk supporting bright red tomatoes against a stark black background. The composition is framed by a bold red border that echoes the fruit's color.

Designed by Erberto Carboni in 1926 for the Italian tomato preserve company based in Felino, near Parma. Carboni transformed mundane food packaging into Art Deco artistry, using geometric forms and saturated color that defined Italy's interwar advertising renaissance. His work for major Italian brands, Barilla, Campari, Olivetti, established him as the architect of modern Italian commercial design.

The poster's whimsical premise, tomatoes growing on trees rather than vines, depicts the optimistic fantasy that characterized 1920s consumer culture. The bold typography mixing German and Italian text reflects the international ambitions of Italian food producers during this era.

Printed as an archival reproduction on 200gsm Enhanced Matte Fine Art Paper using pigment-based inks.
