Icarus is on this sheet too, in loose crimson and rose outline, wings spread, and he could be rising or falling. The poster is credited to Leonid Nepomnyashchy. It belongs to the space-race posters that followed Gagarin's April 1961 Vostok 1 flight, and was produced in the Soviet Union in the 1960s.

On the poster

A helmeted cosmonaut, the letters CCCP in red on his visor, reaches one arm toward a radiating six-pointed star against a deep cobalt-blue field. His white-suited body arcs diagonally across the sheet, propelled by gestural speed-trail brushwork in pale lavender. Below him is Icarus, wings spread. The Cyrillic slogan in the upper-right corner reads "Беспредельны дерзания человека!" (Boundless are the aspirations of Man!).

Each poster is printed to order using professional giclée printing techniques and archival pigment inks on 200gsm enhanced matte fine art paper.

The natural white, smooth matte finish reduces glare while bringing out rich colours and crisp detail. The inks are designed for excellent lightfastness, helping the artwork retain its colour for years to come.
