At her dressing table, the woman raises a bottle of Djemil perfume above three others and a compact. The poster was designed for Parfums Djemil by Geo Cad and printed by Les Affiches Nouvelles in the mid 1920s. The picture is built from flat blocks of cobalt, cadmium yellow, deep navy and warm cream.

On the poster

A bobbed blonde in a sleeveless navy gown reclines on oversized yellow cushions at her dressing table, a small perfume bottle raised in her right hand. A feather headdress fans upward against a flat cobalt blue ground. Three more bottles and a compact stand on the table behind her, reflected in a warm cream oval mirror. A gilded display headline runs above, and a cursive tagline reads "Je ne me parfume qu'au DJEMIL" (I only wear DJEMIL perfume).

Paper and print details

Good art deserves good paper.

Each poster is printed to order using professional giclée printing techniques and archival pigment inks on 200gsm enhanced matte fine art paper.

The natural white, smooth matte finish reduces glare while bringing out rich colours and crisp detail. The inks are designed for excellent lightfastness, helping the artwork retain its colour for years to come.
