A woman lies flat in mid-air while a man in a tuxedo passes a yellow hoop along her body. Adolph Friedländer of Hamburg lithographed the sheet, and his badge and printer's number 6157 appear on it.
The hoop-passing gesture echoes Harry Kellar's Levitation of Princess Karnac.
On the poster
The magician stands beneath a Moorish horseshoe arch. The woman wears a white blouse with a red-and-gold bodice and a long skirt in red and sage green, scattered with gold stars. Palm trees and a white domed pavilion show through the archway behind them. In the foreground the magic table carries a red-and-gold geometric panel in teardrop and harlequin motifs, on gilded legs. The ground is a warm cream with saturated vermilion.
