A blindfolded woman in white touches a number board at centre right, while a woman in pink floats sideways through a moonlit colonnade behind her. The Strobridge Lithographing Company of Cincinnati and New York printed the poster in 1894 for Harry Kellar, known as the Dean of American Magicians. The blindfolded woman recalls Kellar's Second Sight act, in which his wife Eva assisted him.
The floating woman adds a levitation scene behind her. The McCord Stewart Museum holds an impression (accession M2014.128.281).
On the poster
Kellar stands at a lectern bearing an open illuminated book, with a large horned demon at his shoulder. Winged imps, tumbling spirits and scattered playing cards fill a gothic stone interior around him. "KELLAR" takes the upper right in massive cream serif letters with a red and orange shadow outline.
