A boy with an outsized toothbrush looks faintly alarmed by it. John Onwy designed the poster for Parfumerie Jean de Navarry of Brussels, and Phobel of Brussels printed it. The imprint "Imp. PHOBEL BRUXELLES 3601-29" points to 1929. A "d'après John Onwy" credit shows the stone was prepared after Onwy's artwork.
On the poster
A red-haired boy in a navy top and yellow shorts bends over a glass of water, scrubbing his teeth with an outsized brush and holding a squeezed tube of Glycodont in his other hand. He fills a large cobalt-blue oval set on a cadmium-orange ground. Bold yellow block lettering below reads "GLYCODONT", with "blanchit les dents" (whitens the teeth) under it. A cursive line gives the retailer: "Parfumerie Jean de Navarry, 53 Rue de la Brasserie, Brussels".
