George sends a fan of cards across the sheet while six red imps gather below. Grover George, born in Zanesville, Ohio, had bought the equipment and rights to Doc Nixon’s "Hong Kong Mysteries". He commissioned the Otis Lithograph Company of Cleveland, Ohio, to produce promotional lithographs for his show. This 1920s design advertises a "Triumphant American Tour" with "18 People" and a "Carload of Scenic Effects".
On the poster
Grover George stands in white-tie evening dress in the upper left, his right hand releasing a wide arc of playing cards across a cobalt-blue ground. Below, a cauldron burns blue-orange at lower left. To the right a monumental Buddha figure sits in green and ochre. Six red imp figures, horned and angular, fill the lower register. Yellow display type reads "Triumphant American Tour / George / The Supreme Master of Magic" and "18 People / Carload of Scenic Effects".
