Grapes are being squeezed straight into a wine glass, and her partner is mid-song. Leonetto Cappiello (1875 to 1942) designed the lithograph for the Fêtes du Congrès International des Étudiants, held in Bordeaux in September 1907. Imprimerie P. Vercasson of the rue de Lancry, Paris, printed it. The Library of Congress holds a copy.

A woman in a saffron-orange dress squeezes dark grapes into a wine glass. Her partner throws one arm aloft and tilts back on a heel. Grape clusters scatter across a deep teal sky, and behind the pair a frieze of grinning suited men watches from the shadows. The ground is violet-purple.

Paper and print details

Each poster is printed to order using professional giclée printing techniques and archival pigment inks on 200gsm enhanced matte fine art paper.

The natural white, smooth matte finish reduces glare while bringing out rich colours and crisp detail. The inks are designed for excellent lightfastness, helping the artwork retain its colour for years to come.
