Turban as stem, ball as dot. The outline of Claude Alexander Conlin's head and turban makes a question-mark. Conlin performed as Alexander the Man Who Knows. His vaudeville act combined sealed-question mind-reading, crystal ball theatrics and Oriental costuming. Printer not established.
On the poster
A left-facing profile fills the sheet: heavy brow, strong nose, blue eyes cast upward, amber skin. A cream-white turban trails down into a round ball at the foot, so the whole figure forms a question-mark silhouette. Under the turban runs a band of orange, red and yellow stripes, the only warmth in a black and cream design. Bold teal-green slab-serif capitals across the top read "ASK ALEXANDER".
The lower right corner carries the mark "AV YAGA / BOMBAY".
