A young surveyor peers through his theodolite over an expanding industrial landscape, the red banner of Komsomol promising development of distant lands.

Designed by Mikhail Solovyov in 1956 for the Soviet youth organisation's campaign to multiply the wealth of the beloved motherland. Solovyov (1905-1990) was one of the leading masters of Soviet poster art, trained at AKhRR and prolific creator of over 157 propaganda works.

This poster depicts the optimism of Khrushchev's era when young surveyors mapped the vast Soviet territories for industrial development. The composition balances technical precision with ideological message, rendered in the bold socialist realist style.

Restored from original lithographic sources as an archival print. Speaks to collectors of Soviet political art and those drawn to mid-century modernist design.
