A supersized Series E War Savings Bond certificate dominates this 1944 US Treasury poster. The $100 bond shows Grover Cleveland's portrait against cream paper, surrounded by bold red background proclaiming '6th WAR LOAN'.

Commissioned by the US Treasury for the 6th War Loan drive, November 20 to December 16, 1944. This campaign raised $21.6 billion to support the Pacific Theatre push against Japan. The poster used familiar currency imagery to make war bonds feel as solid and trustworthy as cash.

The 6th War Loan came after the November presidential election, targeting home front Americans with a message of financial patriotism. By war's end, 85 million Americans had bought $185.7 billion in bonds.

Archival print on 200gsm Enhanced Matte Fine Art Paper, digitally restored from a 1944 Treasury original.
