A cheerful figure in multicolored striped clothing holds an armful of berlingot candies against a rich cobalt blue background. The traditional hard candies of Carpentras cascade in brilliant stripes of red, yellow, orange, and green.
Designed by Jacques Bellenger for Eysseric around 1950, this vintage food poster celebrates the famous berlingots de Carpentras. These small striped hard candies were originally made from fruit syrup in the Provence town of Carpentras, where the Eysseric company pioneered their commercial production.
Bellenger's playful illustration depicts the joy and craftsmanship of French confectionery tradition through bold geometric forms and saturated colors. The hand-lettered 'Primo' script adds warmth to the modernist composition.
A natural conversation starter in kitchen spaces or dining areas, where its warm palette and food heritage complement culinary settings. Reproduced as an archival print on 200gsm Enhanced Matte Fine Art Paper.
