Two soldiers in olive uniforms charge forward with bayoneted rifles, a machine gunner provides cover from sandbags behind them. Military aircraft fly in formation overhead against a yellow sky, while the bold typography commands 'ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK' across the top.

Designed by Ferdinand Warren for the U.S. Treasury Department in 1942, this poster linked battlefield action to home-front war bond purchases. Warren studied at Kansas City Art Institute and began his career creating war bond posters during World War II, later becoming Art Department Chair at Agnes Scott College.

The composition uses modernist graphic design principles - stark colour contrasts, bold sans-serif lettering, and simplified forms that communicate urgency. The khaki and yellow palette suggests dawn or dusk battlefield conditions, while the repeated 'ATTACK' creates visual momentum.

Archival print reproduced from original source using pigment-based inks on 200gsm Enhanced Matte Fine Art paper.
