Three mechanics service a military aircraft engine, the woman in a red patterned headscarf working alongside two male colleagues. Military aircraft fill the background hangar in this 1944 home front scene.

Designed by Courtney Allen for the US Treasury Department's 6th War Loan campaign, launched November 1944. The small bomb logo in the upper left corner targets the Japanese Rising Sun flag, reflecting the campaign's Pacific theater focus. This war loan raised $21.6 billion for the final push against Japan.

The poster depicts the moment when civilian aircraft manufacturing became the backbone of military production. Allen's composition balances technical detail with human narrative, showing the collaboration between men and women in wartime industry.

Reproduced as an archival print on 200gsm Enhanced Matte Fine Art Paper, preserving the bold blue background and vibrant clothing colours of the original 1944 lithograph.
