Riggs, a Philadelphia-based painter, lithographer, and illustrator whose realist draughtsmanship had earned him the Gold Medal of the New York Art Directors Club ten consecutive times, brought his characteristic rear-figure compositions and restrained naturalistic palette to the brief.
